"RITMOMANIA” – Interactive Sound & Video installation
“Ritmomania” is a pressure sensing, audio & video installation. It creates a rhythm cycle between the movement/dance of the user on the pressure sensitive surface, and the audio & visual images generated by computer.
The user sends information to the computer by making movements over a “Ritmomania”. The computer answers with visual and audio images, which induce the user to move. This will create a feedback loop that will end only once the user steps out from the floor, resulting in the creation of a unique on-screen “painting”. Each painting is affected by the time, position, velocity and intensity of the user’s movements which are then processed by the computer program to create the resulting visuals.
